2022 Winter Reading Program
To help expand Chinese Reading, please encourage your child(ren) read for 15-30 minutes per day in Chinese during the winter holidays. Log every story they read and exchange for one ticket per five stories on Jan 8, 2023 when the new semester begins. The stories can be in textbook, Chinese newspaper, books borrowed from Yuren Library, ebook from amazon, or even from websites, etc. As long as they are in Chinese and fits the level of our students, they are good stories to read. Youth Reading Club – November
In this Thanksgiving season, let’s talk about all the “Thanks” in the Chinese culture. How do Chineses express thanks to their parents, teachers, friends, community, as well as to the world. Welcome to November’s Reading Club! 在这感恩的季节让我们一起来学习中华文化里的感恩之心，感恩父母，感恩老师，感恩朋友，感恩社会，感恩自然。欢迎参加11月份感恩圣诞专题育人读书会！ To participate, please register below for children (age 5-15) only. Parents do NOT need tickets. Seat limit is 20 and first come first serve. We need 5 Volunteers to setup the classroom and assist in the handcrafting activities. It provides 2 certified volunteer hours towards President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). For volunteer service, please signup here.
